The Edo State Police Command has paraded a 400 level student of the University of Port Harcourt, Victor Ochonogor for allegedly murdering his girlfriend in his one bedroom apartment in Benin City.

The Police Commissioner, Mohammed Dankwara, while parading some suspects at the command headquarters in Benin said the landlord of the suspect reported the case to the police on the 21st of August, 2023.

According to him, the suspect and his girlfriend, one Success Regha, were engaged in a heated argument before he allegedly stabbed her, leading to her untimely death.

The suspect told journalists that some fetish materials he found in the deceased’s possession led to their argument.

Items recovered from the suspect include, two blood-stained knives, two iPhones, one Nokia phone, one laptop, and two ATM cards.
