The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners has appealed to governors of the 36 states of the federation to domesticate the Federal Government’s health insurance scheme.

President of the association, Dr SOFIRI PETERSIDE said this at the end of the association’s National Executive Council meeting in Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

According to him, domesticating the health insurance scheme in all states would help to reduce the harsh socioeconomic situation currently being faced by Nigerians. 

He noted that federal civil servants and their counterparts in states operating the scheme were already benefiting immensely from the scheme.
