The organized labour has criticized the Federal Government, for releasing 180 billion naira palliative package to states, to cushion the impact of the fuel subsidy removal.

According to the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress, the governors could not be trusted.

They also noted that the act would lead to politicians and not the poor masses, benefiting from the 5 billion naira given to each state government for disbursement to the citizens.
