As part of palliatives to ease the pains of fuel subsidy removal, Lagos State General Hospitals and Primary Health Centres will be providing free antenatal care and child delivery services to expectant mothers.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr OLUSEGUN OGBOYE, who said the free services will also cover caesarean sections added that the measure would help improve maternal and child health indices.

The permanent secretary assured the people of Lagos of the government’s renewed commitment to ensure strategies to reduce and eradicate maternal, child and infant mortality, as well as the general improvement in all maternal and child health indices.
