Fighter aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force have destroyed illegal oil refinery and distribution sites operated by oil theft criminals in the Niger Delta.

Director of NAF Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet confirmed the strikes noting that the aircraft simultaneously decimated several criminal elements operating in various parts of the country.

Air Commodore Gabkwet also revealed that on the same day, air strikes were targeted at a well-known IPOB Camp in Orsumoghu in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to him, intelligence had revealed that IPOB elements were sighted preparatory to an impending attack on innocent citizens prompting the need to effectively engage them.
