President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms chaired by Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Taiwo Oyedele.

The committee which has experts from both the private and public sectors as members is mandated to cover tax reform, fiscal policy design and coordination, harmonization of taxes and revenue administration among other items.

According to the president, Nigeria cannot continue to tax poverty or production but focus on returns, income and consumption.
