The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has announced new chairmen of some standing committees in the red chamber.

Some of the senators appointed to chair committees include Ahmad Lawan (Defence), Aminu Tambuwal (Housing), Adams Oshiomhole (Interior), Godiya Akwashiki (Airforce), Buhari Abdul-Fata (Aviation), Osita Izunaso (Capital Market), Cyril Fasuyi (Establishment), and Seriake Dickson (Ecology/Climate Change).

Also appointed were Jide Ipisagba (Petroleum Downstream), Aliyu Wadada (Public Account), Shehu Kaka (Special Duties), Patrick Ndubueze (Works), Solomon Adeola (Appropriations), Musa Sani (Finance), and Abiru Tokunbo (Banking), amongst others.
