A governorship aspirant in the forthcoming Edo State governorship election, Pastor Azemhe Azena, has made a passionate appeal to well meaning Nigerians to join hands with the government to reposition and fix Nigerian Correctional Centers.
The Senior Pastor, Omega Fire Ministries Southern Region 2 made the appeal shortly after paying a visit to the Medium Correctional Centre in Oko, Benin City, where he had a worship session with the inmates.
Pastor Azena noted that the condition of the Nigerian Correctional Centres deserves the attention of all Nigerians if they must live up to their mandate of reforming and transforming the inmates.
Pastor Azena also encouraged the inmates to keep hope alive by putting their faith in God for miraculous intervention in their moments of ordeal.
The civilian chaplain of the centre, Pastor Ade Popoola and his uniformed counterpart, Anthony Onwuli commended Pastor Azena for his kind gestures.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of food items, clothes, toiletries, and other valuables to the inmates through the management of the correctional centre.
