The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has advised citizens to stock their homes with food items, medicines, and other essential things ahead of the commencement of its seven-day strike.

The Assistant General Secretary of NLC, CHRIS ONYEKA who revealed this in an interview with newsmen said that the citizens should also minimize their movements so as to avoid being stranded.

The NLC noted that the warning became necessary because the strike would cripple the country as movement would be reduced as commercial transport operators would withdraw their services.

The labour union added that markets, schools and healthcare facilities would also be forced to shut down.
