The Federal Government has held an emergency meeting with the organized labour comprising of the NLC and the Trade Union Congress at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The NLC however insisted that the meeting will have no bearing on its planned strike scheduled to commence on the 2nd of August.

The NLC president, Joe Ajaero, and his TUC counterpart, Festus Osifo told journalists that the meeting was conveyed as part of ongoing consultation on the hike in fuel prices.
