The senator representing Edo North senatorial district, Adams Oshiomhole has defended President Bola Tinubu, saying those who voted him as president are aware he is not a magician.

Oshiomhole told journalists that there was no time during his presidential campaign that President Tinubu pledged to fix Nigeria’s numerous problems in 24 hours.

He said that resolving fuel hike, unemployment and other challenges is not something that could happen in a day.

On the appointment of ministers into his cabinet, Oshiomhole urged President Tinubu to appoint the best hands as ministers.

The former Governor of Edo state claimed that he was yet to see the ministerial list but charged President Tinubu not to reward patronage with incompetence.

On minimum wage, the senator representing Edo North senatorial district, described the 30,000 naira monthly wage as a “criminal, saying his cleaner gets paid no less than 60,000 naira.

According to him, the average responsible private-sector employer is a better employer than the Federal Government or state government.
