The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, ABBA KYARI.
KYARI was granted bail by Justice JAMES OMOTOSHO, in a charge in which he and two of his siblings, BABA KYARI and ALI KYARI are accused of failing to declare assets to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
Ruling in an application filed by the defendant, the Justice granted conditional bail to KYARI at the sum of 50 million naira with two sureties in like sum.
OMOTOSHO added that the sureties must have property worth 25 million naira within the jurisdiction, among other conditions.
However, KYARI’S release warrant has been subjected to the developments in another case pending before Justice EMEKA NWITE, where he is being tried with four others on drug-related offences.
