The Federal Government says it has suspended construction on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to aid the flow of traffic in light of the forthcoming festive week.
The suspension will be in effect between Tuesday, June 27th and Sunday, July 2nd, with the construction work scheduled to resume on Monday, July 3rd 2023.
The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos State, OLUKOREDE KESHA, in an interview with newsmen, asked road users to plan their travels within these period.
According to her, the Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Works, has decided to listen to the complaints of people requesting that work be put on hold during this period to enable people to travel and enjoy easy movement during the period.
