The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has decorated newly promoted senior police officers with their new ranks with a charge to remain professional in the discharge of their duties.
A total of 38 senior police officers were decorated, including Deputy Inspectors-General of Police Bala Ciroma and Frank Emeka Mba.
The remaining officers include 14 Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) and 22 Commissioners of Police.
The immediate past IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, also congratulated the newly decorated senior police officers and urged them to justify their new ranks in their new areas of responsibility.
The decoration exercise followed the recent promotion approved by the Police Service Commission based on merit, requisite experience, years of dedicated service, and academic records.
