Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has decorated 54 newly promoted security officers in the state, including police officers and officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) with their new ranks.

The decoration followed recent promotions approved by the Police Service Commission for deserving officers with the requisite experience, years of dedicated service, and academic records.

The officers who are attached to the governor and other government officials in the State were decorated at the Government House, in Benin City.

The governor while decorating the officers charged them to continue to uphold the rule of law, and ensure the safety and security of lives and property across the State.
