The Permanent Secretary, Edo State Ministry of Social Development and Gender Issues, Barbara Osobajo, has expressed the state government’s commitment to sustaining its pursuit of the protection of rights of residents.

Osobajo gave the assurance while receiving Tina Aje, a widow, who alleged in a viral video that she was denied access to her late husband’s burial in Benin City.

The Ministry said it invited her for proper briefing with a view to securing justice and deterring the continuance of Gender-Based Violence in any form in the state.
