Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki says his government and heads of the various security agencies have unanimously agreed to engage heads of tertiary institutions, youth groups, and religious organizations on the best approach to tackle insecurity in the state.
He revealed this shortly after a closed-door Security Council meeting held at the New Exco chamber of the Government House in Benin City.
According to him, going forward, the state government will approach the menace of cultism and cult related killings differently.
The Edo State Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Miller Dantawayi noted that the state had witnessed a decrease in criminality in recent times.
