The candidate of the Labour Candidate in the 2023 Presidential Elections, Peter Obi has restated its support for fuel subsidy removal insisting that subsidy payment was a criminality conducted for too long.

Peter Obi however stated that subsidy removal should have been done with some measures in place into cushion the effect.

According to him, citizens must see what investments the government is putting the subsidy money into.
