The queues are back to filling stations across Benin City as residence jostled for fuel following the declaration of fuel subsidy removal.
Most filling stations visited by Super FM’s Randy Ogbobio were under lock while those dispensing have adjusted their fuel pumps from the official price to between 399 and 600 naira.
Residents say the development has resulted in unjustifiable price hike, artificial scarcity and uncertainties.
Others however blamed President Bola Tinubu for the situation, adding that his announcement was ill-timed and not well thought out.
