The new Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone Five Headquarters, Benin City, AIG Arungua Nwauzei, has sought the cooperation of the Benin Monarch in tackling criminality in the zone comprising Edo, Delta and Bayelsa States.

AIG Nwauzei also apologized to His Royal Majesty, Ewuare the Second, Oba of Benin over misconduct of some police personnel serving in the Zone.

He said his visit was to seek better synergy with the traditional institution and recommit to the mandate of securing lives and property in the states.

While assuring the AIG of his support, His Royal Majesty, Ewuare the Second, said the zonal police headquarters will enjoy good relationship with the palace going forward.
