A four man syndicate parading itself as Environmental Taskforce Officers in Benin City and extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public have landed in the net of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The senior pastor, Omega Fire Ministry Regional Headquarters, Aduwawa, Dr Azemhe Azena, who witnessed the incident, said the four men approached a business centre at WAEC Junction and attempted to force the manager into their car and whisk him away.

According to him, it took his intervention to alert men of the Nigeria Police Force and the NSCDC to prevent the action of the impostors.

Super FM gathered that the gang had previously visited two business extorting money from their owners.
