The Edo State House of Assembly has stepped down consideration of a bill for a Law to Provide for the Consolidation of Property and Land Based Charges.

The Chairman, House Committee on Government House, Roads and Business, Henry Okhuarobo observed that the House had passed a similar law in 2013 until it was presented by the executive for repeal with some updates.

The Speaker, Right Honourable Marcus Onobun however noted that there was the need to harmonize the existing laws to accommodate the updates being proposed by the executive.
