The Niger Delta Development Commission says it is in talks with global consultants to establish a Memorandum of Understanding to establish its corporate governance structure.
NDDC Executive Director, Projects, Charles Ogunmola, was quoted as saying this on the sidelines of the recent Oil Technology Conference in Houston Texas, USA.
Ogunmola said every project request must be business case based, adding that before now, the commission State offices used to be restricted to inspection.
He said NDDC officials would now be stationed at the Local Government level, saying a lot of the developmental project requirements from the communities must come from the communities and everyone must be involved.
