Edo State House of Assembly members-elect say they are ready to fill the void

Meanwhile, some Edo State House of Assembly members-elect say they are ready to fill the void created in the past three years when their constituencies were not represented in the lawmaking chamber.

They made this known during an interactive session with the 7th Assembly in Benin City.

Kaycee Osahon and Dr Edosa Osaro representing Uhunmwonde and Oredo West said they will push for bills that will tackle insecurity, pave way for good health and education in their constituencies.

The member representing Ovia North East 1, Barrister Charity Aiguobarueghian used the occasion to draw the attention of the lawmakers to the poor state of security in his constituent.

The Speaker, Right Honourable Marcus Onobun however said that the matter will be taken up by the house as a motion under matters of urgent public importance.
