The Federal Government says Egypt has opened its borders to Nigerians fleeing conflict-hit Sudan.
In an update shared on Twitter, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) said an Air Force plane was already on the ground in Aswan, Egypt, adding that the processing of the first set of evacuees would begin.
The development comes six hours after a tweet by NIDCOM, saying the Egyptian border was “still not opened for Nigerian students”.
It however stated that the Nigeria Air Force “is ready” with the NAF C130 having landed at Aswan Airport, and that they will not leave without the students
