No fewer than 49 land grabbing cases and related disputes have been resolved by the Edo State Private Properties Protection Committee in the last three months.

A release signed by the Secretary of the Committee, Oshireku Otokunrin confirmed the development.

It noted that the Committee received hundreds of petitions on land grabbing and related issues from individuals and organizations across communities in Edo state.

While some petitions were slated for prosecution, many were fully settled, even as a few cases were abandoned, five were struck out for lacking merit and four of the cases were subjudice.
