The Central Bank of Nigeria and Commercial Banks in the country have come under heavy criticism from residents of Benin City following their failure to adhere to the Supreme Court ruling on 500,000 naira Daily Withdrawal Limit by customers.

Customers who spoke to Super FM reporter, Randy Ogbobio at various banks in Benin City decried the refusal of most banks to scale up their daily withdrawal limit adding that this affects their businesses.

Others also queried the scarcity of the new naira notes in most of the banks since the Supreme Court ruling.

It will be recalled that the Supreme Court had ordered the central bank of Nigeria (CBN) to let the new and the old naira notes to flow side by side till December 31, 2023.
