The Edo State Police Command has said that the April 15, 2023 supplementary election held in the state was hitch free.

This is contrary to claims by the Edo State Labour Party Chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi who at a news conference alleged that some of their members were dehumanized and molested during the conduct of the supplementary election.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor told Super FM Reporter, Esther Owolabi in a chat that the state commissioner of police, CP Adamu Dankwara was on ground to monitor the process. 

He said the command collaborated with other sister security agencies to ensure maximum security during the poll.
