President Muhammadu Buhari has described the departed ex-Vice Chancellor of University of Port-Harcourt, Professor Nimi Briggs, as an academic who lived for the good of the country and humanity.
He also condoled with his surviving family, urging them to keep the professor emeritus’ legacy alive.
Buhari’s condolence message is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
According to a statement by his family, Professor Briggs passed away in the early hours of Easter Monday, 2023, aged 79 years.
