The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Healthcare Services, Dr Yusuf Sununu has explained that the proposed bill mandating a five year compulsory service for medical doctor before they can travel abroad will be subjected to public hearing before a decision is taken.

Dr Sununu further explained that the bill was proposed to address brain drain in the medical sector.

He assured that ongoing consultations will be sustained to ensure that the interest of all Nigerians, especially medical doctors, is preserved.
