The Edo State House of Assembly has passed a bill for a law to establish a single haulage fee on agricultural farm produce in the State.

Esther Owolabi reports that some lawmakers at the committee of the whole objected to some clauses in the bill warning that they will hike the cost of food and agricultural commodities in the state.

After due consideration, the Speaker, Right Honourable Marcus Onobun directed the Clerk of the House, Audu Omogbai to forward clean copies of the House resolution to the relevant authority.
