The West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) has said the council will no longer use manual confirmation or stamping of certificates of candidates who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) from 1999 till date.
This followed the launch of the examination body’s Digital Certificate Platform for a seamless and timely mode of availing stakeholders of their candidate's certificates.
In a statement by the council’s acting Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, WAEC urged its stakeholders and the general public to utilize the digital certificate platform to ease the bottlenecks associated with the manual access and confirmation system.
