In a related development, the Edo State House of Assembly has disassociated itself from happenings at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

This follows the alleged sack of some prominent scholars and staff of the institution.

In a statement, the Speaker, Right Honourable Marcus Onobun noted that the House allowed the Special Intervention Team set up for the institution to work independently.

He however said activities of the Team reveal that some persons within and outside the system maybe on the verge of jeopardizing the institution.
