The Court of Appeal will today rule on the application by the Independent National Electoral Commission (IEC) to be allowed to reconfigure the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BIVAS) used for the presidential election.
The three member panel led by Justice Joseph Ikeje also adjourned to rule on the applications filed by the Labour Party, the PDP and their presidential candidates to be allowed to conduct physical inspection of all the BIVAS.
Counsel to Peter Obi, Onyechi Ikpeazu and that of Atiku Abubakar, Emeka Etiaba noted that the physical inspection was necessary to ensure that data on the BIVAS were secured before they are reconfigured.
