The Edo State Government has asked residents of the state to disregard claims by the opposition All Progressives Congress that it is sponsoring a protest against the outcome of the 2023 Presidential Election. 

The government issued the disclaimer in a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie.

It the statement, Osagie said Governor Obaseki as Chief Security Officer of Edo State is committed to the security and safety of his people and does not engage in actions that are self-destructive.

It called on Edo people and all Nigerians to totally disregard the allegation and go about their lawful activities without fear.
