The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced its approval of the swapping of not more than ten thousand naira of 200, 500 and 1000 naira notes with new ones for Nigerians living in remote areas.

This is done by the apex bank ahead of the deadline for a switch to the re-designed notes as accepted legal tender in Nigeria.

The Director, Medical Services Department of the Apex Bank, Abdullahi Jibrin stated this on the fourth day of the outing embarked upon by officials of Central Bank in Bauchi state on a sensitization campaign regarding the re-designed Currency.
