The Edo state House of Assembly has summoned the commissioner for youths and humanitarian affairs, Barrister Andrew Enwanta over his refusal to honour the House committee on Youths invitation.

This follows the presentation of the report of the House Standing Committee on Youth and Humanitarian Affairs on a petition against alleged illegal election of the Edo State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.    

The chairman of the committee, Right Honourable Francis Okiye while presenting the report said the committee has been working but had hitches as some of those involved have refused to make themselves available.

Okiye therefore said that the one point recommendation of the committee is for the Speaker to use his office to compel those involved to honour the invitation.

The Speaker, Right Honourable Marcus Onobun while receiving the preliminary report said the house will not condone any form of disregard of its committees.
