A former Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Usman Mohammed has said most political parties and presidential candidates do not understand the power sector.
Mohammed described as a mirage, the plan by some of the leading presidential candidates to solve Nigeria’s power sector in four years and move the country’s power generation from a 4,000 megawatts to 25,000 megawatts.
The former TCN boss said the manifestoes of the political parties showed that most of them did not have a good understanding of the Nigeria power sector.
He also recommended a nonpartisan consensus on how the Nigerian power sector would move ahead.
