The Edo State House of Assembly has passed the Year 2023 Appropriation Bill of 321.4 billion naira.

The House passed the appropriation bill tagged Budget of Resilience and Transformation at plenary after the presentation and clause by clause consideration.

Earlier, during his presentation, the Chairman, House Standing Committee on Appropriation, budget and Economic Planning, honourable Ephraim Aluebhosele said the committee added one billion naira to address infrastructural development in the state.

The Speaker, Right Honourable Marcus Onobun who appreciated the lawmakers for their works over the years, said the passage signals the last budget approval by the seventh Assembly.

Recall that on the 16th of November, 2022, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki presented a budget estimate of 320.4 billion naira to the State House of Assembly for the year 2023.
