The European Union says it will support Nigeria in achieving free, fair and credible elections in 2023.

The EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Samuela Isopi stated this during a courtesy visit to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki at the Government House in Benin City.

Samuela Isopi, described Nigeria as very important to the EU and its global neighbours.

She said she will use the opportunity of her visit to engage with political actors to discuss issues related to elections.
