Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has been conferred with the Pontifical Honourary Degree by the School of Faith and Leadership (Vatican Accredited Institute of the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City). 

The conferment took place at the 3rd convocation ceremony of the school in Benin City with the theme: 'Using Education To Foster Advancement In Understanding Christian Theology And Psychology'.

In his acceptance speech, Shaibu expressed delight at the recognition, adding that the honour was a huge blessing to his existence.

Highlight of the ceremony which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life was a citation on the Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu and the official conferment of the Honourary Award on him by the Archbishop of the Benin Metropolitan See, Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Obiora Akubeze.
