VVF sufferers in Edo State have been enjoined to take advantage of the VVF Clinic set up by Edo State First Lady, Her Excellency Betsy Obaseki to end their ordeal.

Some beneficiaries of the free VVF surgeries carried out by the VVF Clinic made the call when the Edo State First Lady visited the clinic after the successful conclusion of their surgeries.

Some of the women, while appreciating the First Lady, shared their experiences.

One of the survivor, counselled women not to ignore doctor’s advice to undergo caesarean session during delivery when necessary.

It is estimated that at least three million women in poor countries have unrepaired VVFs, and that 30,000 to 130,000 new cases develop each year in Africa alone.
