The Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba has deployed Mohammed Dankwara to Edo State as the new Commissioner of Police.

Dankwara replaces Abutu Yaro who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General and redeployed to Awka in Anambra State as AIG Zone 13.

In a statement issued and signed by the Public Relations Officer Force headquarters, Abuja, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a total of 465 officers were promoted on the basis of merits and seniority.

A total of 56 Senior officers comprising 13 Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGs) and 43 Commissioners of Police (CPs) were decorated at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Centre, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
