The Edo State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), retired Colonel David Imuse has again called on Governor Godwin Obaseki to immediately table his resignation from office.
This follows the governor's declaration that governance in the state will henceforth take the back seat as he mounts the podium for the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 polls.
A statement by the assistant state publicity secretary of the APC, Osehobo Ofuren noted that the resignation of Governor Obaseki will pave way for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to set machinery in motion for a fresh gubernatorial election in the state.
The chairman said that his renewed call is in tandem with the fears of many Edo people who are of the opinion that government in the state has finally grind to a complete halt.
