The Academic Staff Union of Universities says it will sue the Federal Government at the National Industrial Court over the recognition of two rival academic unions.
Lawyer of ASUU FEMI FALANA SAN disclosed this to newsmen today, and was confirmed by the union’s President, Prof EMMANUEL OSODEKE.
This comes 2 days after the Federal Government registered two new academic unions – the Congress of Nigerian Universities Academics (CONUA) and the National Association of Medical and Dental Academics (NAMDA).
However, a lecturer at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Prof. ABOSEDE ADEBIYI, dismissed the chances of CONUA to break up the ranks of ASUU.
