Two months after the jailbreak which saw over 800 inmates escape at the Kuje Medium Custodial Facility in Abuja, about 422 inmates are yet to be recaptured.
Reports state that 879 inmates, including 64 high-profile Boko Haram terrorists fled the facility during the jailbreak.
The Nigerian Correctional Service’s spokesperson, UMAR ABUBAKAR, had said five persons, including an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps and four inmates, died during the attack.
Hours later, the Islamic State in West Africa Province claimed responsibility for the attack.
