The Federal Government has set up a 14-man committee to review the recommendations of the Professor NIMI BRIGGS-led committee in charge of the renegotiation of the 2009 Agreement between government and university unions.
The Spokesman of the Ministry of Education, BEN GOONG, disclosed this to newsmen, after a meeting of the Minister of Education, ADAMU ADAMU with Pro-Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors of federal universities.
BEN GOONG says that the committee will also look into issues of increase in the salaries of the university lecturers and come up with workable solutions.
Although no specific timeline was given for the committee, it is however expected that its report will be forwarded to President MUHAMMADU BUHARI for further action.
