Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, ATIKU ABUBAKAR has met with the Rivers state governor NYESOM WIKE in London, the United Kingdom.
ATIKU ABUBAKAR was accompanied by Adamawa state governor AHMADU FINTIRI, while Governor WIKE had his allies, Governors SEYI MAKINDE, OKEZIE IKPEAZU, and SAMUEL ORTOM in attendance as well.
Although no official statement has been released by the spokesmen of both men, it is believed that the meeting was held to settle the conflict that has rocked the party since the Presidential primaries, which ATIKU won over Governor WIKE.
The meeting was also triggered by another meeting Governor WIKE held with the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, BOLA TINUBU, which led to speculations that the governor plans to work for the APC in next year’s polls.
Earlier yesterday, former President OLUSEGUN OBASANJO held a meeting with the presidential candidate of Labour Party, PETER OBI; and the Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE, in London, the United Kingdom.
Afterwards, PETER OBI announced that he would be visiting the United States of America, Germany, Canada, and Italy to interact with Nigerians in Diaspora and share his plans with them.
