Nobel laureate, Professor WOLE SOYINKA has supported the planned impeachment of President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, by opposition lawmakers in the National Assembly, if the nation’s security crisis is not solved in a 6-week ultimatum.
Professor SOYINKA backed the move, while speaking during an interactive session organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Abeokuta Club.
Professor SOYINKA, said the President should be impeached because he had breached the contract of democracy, citing mis-governance.
The Nobel Prize winner also wondered why politicians who failed in government would go ahead to impose their successors.
