The Academic Staff Union of Universities has challenged the Federal Government on the report of the auditor general 2019 report on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPIS, where it claimed that the union has wasted its time and public money.
President of the union, Prof. EMMANUEL OSODEKE, made the call while featuring on a television programme, and pleaded with the students for understanding, saying it is in their best interest for a better education system.
OSODEKE who blamed the federal government over the non-implementation reached on some of the demands by the union however pleaded with President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to intervene in the crisis rocking the education sector.
